What bat is legal for Dixie Boys 15U?
Dixie Boys 15U, current rules: Use a bat with the USA Baseball mark, a BBCOR bat or a wood bat, with a 2 5/8 in barrel: the rulebook requires that size, so smaller youth barrels aren't allowed. The rulebook sets no drop limit.
Checked Oct 27, 2026. Confirm with your league before you buy: local leagues and tournaments can set their own rules, stricter or looser than the national ones. The rule in full and its sources.
Typical bat size for ages 13 to 15
Bat makers' charts put most players aged 13 to 15 at 31–33 in (Louisville Slugger, DeMarini, Rawlings) and suggest a -8 or -5 drop (Louisville Slugger, DeMarini). That's a guide, not a rule: height, weight and strength matter more, so see what size bat your kid needs. Your league's limits above always come first.
